Janusz Szyrmer is an Economic Policy Expert, with over twenty years of experience in emerging markets, international aid management, macro-fiscal policy, public finance, international trade, governance, competitiveness, statistics and economic/econometric data analysis and modelling. Having served as Project Director (Team Lead, Chief of Party, etc.), Policy Advisor, Research Analyst, and Professor/Lecturer, he has managed development aid projects, and advised and trained a wide range of governments. He has published extensively; he authored/co-authored/edited twelve books and monographs as well as many research papers and project reports. Dr. Szyrmer received his Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, USA. His academic appointments have included a number of research and teaching faculty positions in the USA (Harvard University, University of Pennsylvania, Haverford College, and Bryn Mawr College), in Great Britain (Oxford University), in Poland (Polish Academy of Sciences and Polish Economic Society), as well as in several other US and European research and teaching institutions.
